Court orders permanent forfeiture of 56 houses linked to ex-petroleum minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke

The Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered the permanent forfeiture of 56 houses believed to be owned by former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke. The court ruled today that the houses, located in Lagos and Port Harcourt, should be permanently forfeited to the Federal Government.According to EFCC operatives, the former minister who is standing trial for corruption and money laundering,  acquired the houses between 2011 and 2013 using front companies.The total value of the property stands at over N3 billion.
